Rev. Cary Wood of Danville, Georgia, was interim pastor of First Baptist Church beginning October 3, 1982 following the pastorate of Dr. Bill Wood (01/80 - 05/82) till August 28, 1983 when Rev. D. D. Harris filled the pulpit as Interim Pastor.
