Dr. Lamar Holley

1983 - 1996

Dr. Holley was born April 3, 1943 in Anniston, Alabama.

His wife is Jean Richards Holley a native of Augusta, Georgia. She holds an RN and a MSN degree from the Medical college of Georgia School of Nursing. She is presently the Director of Congregational Nursing Program, Georgia Baptist Health Care System.

Their Children are Gregg Holley, Jim Holley and Bill Holley.

Dr. Holley graduated from Walter Welborn High School In Anniston in 1961. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1965 from Jacksonville State University. TH. M (Honors Program) 1968, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Doctor of Ministry, 1988, Columbia Theological Seminary.

He was ordained May 26, 1968 by the Wayside Baptist Church, Anniston, Alabama.

His student work included, Gracewood State School and Hospital in the summer of 1967. He served as Youth Director, Central Christian Church in Augusta, Georgia, also in the summer of 1967.
